[18 Jan 2014] Hort Park's Gardener Bazaar
Hort park was hosting a Gardener's Bazaar on 18 Jan to coincide with the approaching CNY. Needless to say, there were flowers galore for sale. I bought some sunflower seeds and am now experiencing floppy sunflower seedlings syndrome *depressing*. Am following the instructions online to bury the stem, deep deep. Hopefully they will make it.
But I digress. I bought a yellow walking iris for S$5 from the Hort Park, which apparently I am overwatering. I will remedy this by not watering it anymore until the weekend.
There were a lot of stalls, most of the stalls were selling terrariums, vertical gardens and CNY blooms. Mr Bear told me that azaleas have a negative connotation, like woman's tears or something, but they are really popular for CNY. I am still waiting for people to throw away their lime plants after CNY... so sad, not yet... I crouch by the rubbish dump (don't tell the gov).

Finally did up one side of the walls
Took a while but I finally did up one side of my wall. You can't see from the photo, but it is made up of two types of photo frames from Daiso. One beveled, the other protruded. I used an Ikea backing (for a big frame) to mark out a square shape in chalk, then used water marks to make sure the frames are straight.
I sorted the photos before I put them up, but I still boobooed on the third level. The peace lily was supposed to be on the left and the succulent on the right. But F it, I am not going to rip a hole in the wall again just to change the sides. The 3M stickers cost me a pretty dime!

First week of grapes
My grapes never learnt to climb, but one of them actually tried to sprout some grapes.
I was so shocked!
I had three bunches. Since this photo, there have been many ants. I lost 1 whole bunch and half to them/wind that keeps bashing my vulnerable grapes.
I should take an updated photo. The remaining grapes are growing well :)
